So, my sister's friend, Brian, needs to give his job away. C'mon, NYC is not as awesome as Philly a fun place to be! And he likes his job, actually, so it's not a bad job. Here's his email.
Hello Friends,
Would you like a job in New York? Do you have a friend/sibling/associate/classmate/roommate/whatever who wants a job in New York?
If so, they should probably send me their resume ASAP. I have a job that I'd like to give away. In fact, I have a job that I absolutely need to give away in the next few weeks so I can stop doing it and move to a different job at my company. It's a good company *and* they'd get to work with me. Awesome!
There's a brief job description attached, which is slightly out of date, but here are the basics:
1. Entry-level administrative job handling logistics, data management, and some account management for the sales department at a technology company that builds custom marketing applications in partnership with ad/creative agencies.
2. Decent salary and benefits - enough to live in NYC.
3. Huge potential for growth if someone is at all interested in sales/business at a tech company - this position is essentially a training job for someone who wants to move up to being a Sales Director in a year or so. Less, but still some, potential for growth into other areas of business development.
4. Young, fun company - coworkers you'd actually want to join for happy hour.
5. The priceless benefit of working a job that doesn't make you want to throw yourself in front of the F train every morning on your commute.
6. A job that starts in as little as 2-3 weeks and is not temporary, but in fact a real job. With benefits. That doesn't involve working a deep fryer.
Also, the company is called Oddcast ( www.oddcast.com) if you/your friend/your sister/your mama (hah!) want to check it out.
Please pass this along to anyone you may know who might be interested. I'm more than happy to talk about it with anyone, so feel free to also selectively pass out my phone number to whatever slack-jawed miscreants you associate with in your free time. Or they could just email me their resume or questions or whatever.
Thanks,
Brian
Feel free to spread this message around and if you find anyone who's interested, give them my email (ayaneva@aol.com) and I'll fwd it to Brian.
