Let's Bring Tokio Hotel To North America!

Ok, so I figured I should compile all of the information that I have so far. There really isn't anywhere else that it's gathered in one location and I'll feel dumb posting it on one of the other comms. If anyone else wants to post this stuff elswhere, feel free. Island Records was/is(?) supposed to be in charge of releasing TH's cds over here in the US. I've also found the contact info for Universal Music in Canada. The guys are, I think, signed to just plain old Universal Music in Germany. Follow the cut for all of the info.

WHERE TO WRITE

Island Records, America:

Island Records
825 Eighth Avenue
New York, NY 10019

If you go to the main page (www.islandrecords.com) and click the "contact" link at the very bottom of the page, you'll be taken to an email form that you can fill out.

Universal Music, Canada:

2450 Victoria Park Avenue
Suite 1,
Toronto, ON
M2J 5H3

There aren't really any phone numbers that I can find, so snail-mail will have to do.

Universal Music, Germany:

Stralauer Allee 1
10245 Berlin
Fon +49 30 52007 01
Fax +49 30 52007 09

Um, yeah. Unless you speak German and have international fax codes, I don't think the those numbers are going to help. I, for one, don't even understand the numbers. From what I managed to read on the page, I don't think there's anything further information there that's relevant to our current campaign.

WHAT IS AYANEVA DOING?

1. I'm currently writing letters to both Island Records (US) and Universal Music (Germany). I've started on the letter to Universal Music and I've opted to write it in German, despite how crappy my German is. I think that it might have more impact if I make a point of mentioning that not only am I American, but that I've also made quite an effort to speak to whomever in their native language. My written German isn't great, but it is understandable. I'm saying the basic "TH's North American fans aren't happy with blah blah blah." You know the drill. I'm debating whether or not I should write on the envelope "c/o David Jost." If I can figure out the name of the band's management company, I'll definitely send a similar letter straight to the company c/o David Jost.

2. I plan to, but haven't yet, write a letter to Island Records in English, thankfully. It'll basically say the same thing as the German language letter.

3. I've also signed the petition that's circulating.
