People like me are pinning all of our hopes on this man. Maybe it's not the most sane thing to do and maybe we're setting ourselves up for disappointment but what else do we have left? We need someone to carry our voices, unify them, and he's the only one now who's in the position to do so.
The only hope we have is change. People always ask, "Change what? What's this change? We want specifics." Obama does give specifics, but really, do you need to be specific? EVERYTHING needs to change. If you can't figure out what he means by "change," then you're fucking oblivious. Just look around you and you'll have your answer. Look at what he's done in the past and you'll see that he "gets" it. He knows what needs to change, he's seen it first hand. Those of us who understand the "change" of which he speaks, we "get" it. We've seen it. You don't even have to have experienced it personally, you just have to see it. Know it. Accept that certain things are horribly fucked up and understand why they are the way they are. We know what he means and if you're paying attention, you will too.
And no, I won't apologize if I've offended anyone. I'm in a horrible mood at the moment and I need to say what I need to say.
I should be grateful for this awful job. Sometimes, I need a reason to keep fighting. When a reason comes along, you MUST embrace it, capture the energy of the anger and use it for GOOD. Use it to effect POSITIVE CHANGE. So I'm going to be angry in a positive way. I'm going to go help Obama for the next two Saturdays and we're gonna get the delegates that we need to seal the deal. The PEOPLE own this campaign. Literally. Obama is US and we are HIM.
Let's get some shit done and make this happen.
