LOVED Doctor Who tonight.

And how much did I squeal when the Doctor ( spoilers! )

Also, how awesome was Rory? He was fantastic yet again. He's definitely one of the best characters to ever be on Who, IMO. He's always so brave for Amy.

. It was so touching and well-deserved. :') I didn't even see it coming. I thought he was calling Winston Churchill.

I think this is honestly my favorite group of TARDIS Companions ever. And I have to say that River has, unbelievably, passed Donna as my favorite Companion. That's hard to do. Donna is still a very close second though but I just adore River so damn much. It also helps that I ship the hell out of her and the Doctor. LOL

And she has all that lovely hair. /random

Speaking of which, Matt Smith's hair was fantastic. I've missed it long and wild like that. :)

The ( spoilers! )

was also cool. I loved how everything was happening all at once.

What I still don't get is why a spacesuit exactly and what about the exploding TARDIS from last season? Perhaps both of those are simply explained with "because." Like the myth said an impossible astronaut, so it was always going to be an astronaut because it had to be. It was always going to happen that way because it did happen that way. That just leaves the exploding TARDIS. Perhaps that was simply the Silent's first failed attempt to destroy the Doctor. When that didn't work, they went to Plan B with Melody.

It's clever how they "killed" the Doctor. I didn't see that solution coming at all!

Anyway, this was a really good season finale, I think. I hope Amy, Rory, and River are back for next season. I'm sure River will be, as she seems like a pretty permanent fixture for this Doctor. Definitely a recurring character throughout his run. I figure if River is around, Amy and Rory will probably pop up too, even if they're not regulars.

Mid-Atlantic. This is what everyone calls a Philadelphia accent although it's also the accent of south Jersey, Baltimore, and Wilmington. Well, everyone that lives near there, that is. Outsiders can tell you talk differently from them even though they can't tell what your accent is.

If you are not from there, you are probably one of the following:
(a) A New Yorker who, unlike most New Yorkers, rhymes "on" with "dawn"; or
(b) A Yat from New Orleans.
You are probably not from Eastern New England or the Great Lakes area, and certainly not from anywhere in the West or Canada.
