ETA: Best line ever spoken at a TH concert- "AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!! ELEVEN ELEVEN SHUT THE FUCK UP!" You had to be there.

OK so I missed half the Philly concert. I mean I was physically there but they had the World Series on a screen towards the back. I was craning back to watch the screen, looking forwards at the stage, running to the back to check the score, running back to my spot to watch the stage. WE WON THE FUCKING WORLD SERIES! WE BROKE THE CURSE! XD

Thanks to the Ironworkers of Local Union 401, I might add. So the band had a little competition but it was all good. Before anyone complains that it was inappropriate for the Electric Factory to play the game on a separate screen during the concert, lemme just say that this was part two of Game 5 of the World Series in which the Phillies were playing. All they had to do was win this game to win the title.

This is Philadelphia.

The Phillies were in the World Series.

That's really all there is to it. Besides, people like me would have been calling someone else periodically to check the score anyway so they might as well show the damn game. Either way, our attention was going to be divided.

To the concert:

Bill was pitch perfect tonight, although Tom was playing in the wrong key for the first few measures of Love Is Dead, I think it was. lol He quickly corrected. It was a solid show and they all looked loose and lively. They were having fun! :3 And did I mention that Bill sounded AWESOME?

There wasn't a coat check so I ended up looking retarded in my winter coat and a bookbag, but I was able to put the bag on the floor against a side barricade and there was a bit of a chill, so I was comfortable in my coat.

After all the bad reviews that I read about the Electric Factory, I was surprised to find that it actually wasn't that bad at all. Everyone made it sound awful. The acoustics seemed fine to me- the sound was clear and the mix was good. The show wasn't sold out, so there was room to move. The scary security guys weren't at all scary and the security check didn't really take that long. Aside from a weird pat down it was basically the same as any other place. Also, they let us have cameras. Apparently they're normally really strict about the no camera policy, but they let it slide tonight and people were free to take photos and record whatever they wanted. I really only got a picture of the curtain because we moved to the back as more people packed in and I really just wanted to enjoy the show, rather than trying to get video and pictures.

There were some really cute twin moments and Bill sang to Tom a bit. It was adorable! Gustav was looking very Hobbit-like. Time for a haircut. Georg was lookin' "Mmm Mmm Good." Bill had on jeans or something and a red shirt that had faces?! on it and those metal suspender things. I have no clue what anyone else was wearing, except I think Tom had a grey nightgown on and Georg was wearing a black shirt. Tom also kept doing this funky little backwards kick thing when he was really getting into the music. LOL

Bill held the LOOOOOONGEST pose ever during...um...some song. Break Away? I can't remember but I'm like, "Damn, he held that pose for like two minutes while Gustav was drumming to the end!" My arms would have gotten tired. He also went about tossing water saying that it was time for some water or something like that. I can't ever understand half of what he says because it's so high-pitched and whispy. [livejournal.com profile] catalinaormand had to translate for me. LOL

It's cute how Bill says Feela-delfia. XD "We always wanted to come to Feela-delfia!" I'm quite sure you hadn't even considered it before they made up the schedule, but thanks for making us feel good anyway, Bill. :3

LOLZ@ the people who don't realize there's an encore and start leaving only to rush back in when they realize the band's not finished yet. They did, however, take a really long time to come back on stage for the second encore (Monsun). And there were many funny noises coming from the mic. Bill was...squeaking? Humming? I don't even know?! I LOL'd.

And one last thing. NOBODY'S TRYING TO STEAL YOUR GODDAMN PATCH OF ASPHALT. Did it look like we were in line?! NO. Did we expressly say, "We're not in line, we're just talking to someone?" YES. So don't give us death glares and a little bitchy attitude because you think we're stealing your spot...EVEN THOUGH WE'RE CLEARLY NOT. IN. LINE. This last part isn't addressed to anyone on my f-list and to no one that I know personally:

I hate Tokio Hotel fans, I'll just say it right now. Nobody told you to wait in the cold at 6.30 in the morning and I DON'T want to be up front with crazy bitches like you. At this point, I don't actually want to be up front at all. EVER. Because most of you are crazy. Like batshit insane, crazy. Frighteningly possessive crazy. Really, it's not that serious. Go save a puppy or something, channel that angry energy that you seem to have stored up. Or perhaps just get a life? That doesn't revolve around Tokio Hotel? These wars for line position are really retarded, more so when the people you're whining about AREN'T EVEN IN LINE AND AREN'T PRETENDING THAT THEY ARE AND CLEARLY SAY THAT THEY'RE NOT. You guys are fucking stupid. I swear, many of the newer fans are just bringing an unpleasant energy with them. I don't understand it at all. You see it on the Cult and you see it at the shows and it makes it much less enjoyable.

OK, rant over.

Fortunately, we didn't let silly people like that ruin anything and they were merely a quickly forgotten annoyance to be addressed later (like in this entry). I had a blast at the back and [livejournal.com profile] catalinaormand and I were LOLing like crazy over anything and everything. XD I'm glad [livejournal.com profile] catalinaormand wouldn't let me go to the balcony! It was more fun on the floor. LOLOL Particularly the bit where she was screaming that one line like a banshee. I died. Many times.

So, the concert was great for a whole lot of reasons that really have nothing to do with the band or their performance and the concert was also great specifically because the band performed so well and were so relaxed.

Overall, the night was A+. :D

That's it for now. If I remember anything else, I'll add it in later. I have to get to bed since I have work in the morning.
